Some special announcements!

leave a comment »

We have two exciting announcements!

One: Ubuntu 9.10 came out today. You know what that means! That’s right! We are working on Nysics OS2 right now! It should be available tomorrow. We will announce it on this blog and the Nysics Team Blog when it does come out.

Two: We have taken down the website to work on it. We should have it available by tomorrow for the launch. We are working very hard to make this launch a very good one. The website should look really good.

We hope you can wait long enough for this release. It is going to be a great release! See you tomorrow!

Feature changes to Nysics OS.1.5

leave a comment »

Since this is a minor release, there hasn’t been any big changes. But still, there have been some changes. Here they are:

– Cheese Photobooth application

– Google Gadgets

– Microsoft Silverlight(Or Moonlight for Linux)

– Built in support for most major movie formats(Not all formats. That will come in 2.0)

– A boot up screen(Ok, so it’s Ubuntu’s. At least you don’t get freaked out on if your computer crashed or not)

As I said, it’s not a big list. But it’s a step forward. Now to add even MORE features :D

What’s coming in Nysics OS.1.5

leave a comment »

Yes, we just released our first version, but as a first version, it has problems. Not major problems, but stuff could be improved. Here’s a feature list of what will be coming in OS.1.5 in July:
-Silverlight support
-Google Desktop(for gadgets)
-A better boot screen
-A better theme(even though the current theme looks nice)
-Better wallpaper(You can now download it in the “Addons & Wallpaper” section.)
-Cheese(a Mac Photobooth-like application)
-Video Codecs
More later…
This post will be updated with more features over the weeks.
Feel free to suggest features(in the comment section)!
